Workshop Information
River Clay Studio workshops are rooted in the belief that working with your hands can bring people back to center. Each gathering is designed to create space for slowing down, exploring creativity, and making something meaningful. Whether for children or adults, the goal is simple: to foster imagination, build confidence through making, and offer a lasting connection to craft that carries beyond the studio
Hosted at Nest & Gather ~ New Haven, VT
Youth Clay Club ~ Air-Dry clay is a welcoming gateway into the world of ceramics. It dries naturally and is ready for painting and sealing within just a few days. This makes it an accessible, low-pressure way to explore the fundamentals of hand-building while engaging in rich sensory play.
Come when you can, there is no pressure or stress if life gets busy. Each session stands on its own, while repeat visits help young makers build skills, confidence, and connection over time. When you run out of punches, register again for more visits! Suggested age range 2-7 years old. Thursdays from 11 AM - 12 PM // $25 Drop In // $20 Pre-register // Additional Siblings join for $15.
Adult Clay Club ~ Slow down, create, and enjoy the process of working with clay in this welcoming class for ages 16+. Learn hand-building techniques using high-quality air-dry clay while creating projects that are uniquely your own. All materials are provided, guidance is available throughout, and sessions are relaxed with flexible arrival and departure during the 90-minute class. Date: (Starting September 3rd) Thursdays 1 PM - 2:30 PM // $35 Drop In // $30 Pre-register // $8 per fired piece.
Workshop Preview ~ Help me build what comes next at River Clay Studio. I’m hosting a workshop preview that offers you the opportunity to experiment with decorating pottery, try out some ideas, and help shape future studio workshops. You will choose either a mug, trinket dish, tealight candle holder, or vase. During the session you will spend time decorating it with underglazes. When finished, I will glaze and fire the piece for you to bring home once the firing process is done. Because this is a pilot workshop I’m offering this series at a special introductory price. Recommended for 16+. September 13th 8:30 AM - 10 AM. // $25 per person // Registration required (ends 9/10).
